Adchem Supplies its products coated with the following Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Formulations
1. Rubber Adhesives -- Adhesives made from natural or synthetic rubbers, which are made tacky by mixing them with various compounds. -- Adhesives made from natural or synthetic rubbers, which are made tacky by mixing them with various compounds.
2. Acrylic Adhesives -- Based on acrylic polymers, acrylic adhesives provide resistance to solvents, UV light, elevated temperatures, plasticizers, and chemical reagents. They tend to be more costly than rubber-based varieties, but provide better long-term aging and environmental resistance. They have low to moderate initial tack and adhesion, and generally do not adhere well to low-surface-energy substrates.
3. Hybrid Adhesives -- PSA tapes with hybrid adhesive utilizes the properties/features of both Rubber and Acrylic adhesives by coating them separately on each side of a carrier. Hybrid adhesive tapes are very useful in double coated tape applications where one bonding substrate/material needs Rubber adhesive and the other bonding substrate/material needs Acrylic adhesive. Adchem provides both Acrylic/Rubber or Rubber/Acrylic configurations of hybrid adhesives. We also manufacture both film and foam hybrid systems.
