Adchem Corporation Offers Low VOC Automotive Interior Bonding Tape Systems

May 21, 2009, Riverhead, NY --- Adchem Corporation, a leader in the foam fabrication market for more than 40 years, has released its new Low VOC family of automotive interior adhesive tapes at the Ward's Automotive Interiors Conference in Dearborn, MI. The new adhesive systems comply with the VOC limits defined by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare an agreed to by the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association eliminating 13 toxic chemistries.

Adchem has created double coated, unsupported (transfer tapes) and tissue reinforced tape products with the new adhesive system automotive bonding needs, including in-cabin, passenger safety systems, seating, HVAC units, interior trim, hold-in place applications, as well as sound and vibration damping.

The company, anticipating a shift in demand to Low VOC adhesive technology in the US, Canada and Mexico, has developed an extensive database of foams and commonly used automotive materials used in automotive interiors to assist their customers in selecting the appropriate tape system for their applications.
